The RIGGS team is proud of the lives we touch each year through CreateAthon. In a nutshell, that’s what it’s all about — touching lives and helping those who need it most. But we would be kidding ourselves if we didn’t acknowledge how proud we also are of the recognitions and awards the program and our CreateAthon work have garnered over the past eight years. Here is an overview of those accolades.
COLUMBIA ADVERTISING AGENCY RECEIVES FIRST NATIONAL ADDY® AWARD

COLUMBIA, SC – Columbia advertising agency, RIGGS, will be honored with its first National ADDY® Award during the American Advertising Federation’s Annual Conference June 7-9 in Louisville, Ky.
Out of the 1,677 entries judged in the national competition, a total of 307 ADDY Awards were presented, including 137 Gold and 162 Silver ADDY Awards.
RIGGS will receive a Silver ADDY for its “airplane” creative developed for the Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Greater Columbia’s recruitment campaign. The BBBS’s campaign was produced during the agencies 24-hour annual pro bono event, CreateAthon.
The ADDY Awards is a three-tiered national competition conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation and is the industry’s largest and most representative competition for creative excellence in advertising. To enter the National competition, agencies must have received a Gold ADDY in their local and regional competitions. With more than 57,000 entries annually, the ADDY Awards continue to demonstrate creative excellence from a wide range of advertisers and agencies.
“RIGGS has been honored with entry into the National ADDY competition a number of times, but this is our first award. It is truly an honor to be recognized at the highest level of our industries field. 2007 will be a milestone year as RIGGS celebrates its 20th anniversary and move to the West Vista,” said Cathy Monetti, president and creative director of RIGGS.
