CreateAthon® is a 24-hour blitz during which RIGGS provides marketing and creative services to nonprofit organizations on a pro-bono basis. Simply put, here is how it works: RIGGS dedicates a 24-hour billing/work period, the equivalent of three working days, to South Carolina nonprofits. We select a handful of organizations from a pool of applicants based on the type of project requested, the mission of the organization and the degree of need. Projects range from identity development, brochures, radio and television PSAs, to direct mail, marketing planning and much more. Our objective in doing this is to give nonprofits the marketing and advertising materials they otherwise cannot afford. Where possible, Crowson Stone, the exclusive printer for CreateAthon, donates all the printing.
After 11 years of CreateAthon all-nighters, RIGGS has completed more than 350 projects at an estimated value of $2.5 million.
